The Library has been carefully researched, starting with Victorian Floriography. In Victorian England, when flowers were sent, the receiver would use the family's 'language of flowers' book to decode the meaning of the bouquet. During this time, horticulture became widely popular among the wealthy. Families would hire someone to travel and bring back beautiful flowers to England, where they would eventually be assigned a meaning. Because of this, I have made it a priority to find out whether the flowers I have used had or have significance in the cultures that they originated from. If so, those meanings are listed first in the Library. I have applied this approach in my research and use of more common symbolism as well.
